Days and nights, weekdays and weekends, they all seem to blend together. Work from home is not always  the blessing many thought it to be.

I somewhat unintentionally and voluntarily  worked later today but you’re right; WFH has meant a lot of extra hours and I feel great signing off at 5:00 when I’m able.

My wife has been WFH since March, and she has never worked longer hours. I’ve got to nag her to get off the computer at quitting time. She’s getting so much done, though, she may never go back to the office. She may be working long hours, but there’s something to be said about getting out of bed fifteen minutes before work and logging in your pajamas. And then never changing out of your PJs all day.

The blessing is getting out of bed at 7:45 and logging on to work in your pajamas. We used to get up at 6:30 and then she’d have a 40 minute commute.

Yeah, but the flip side is never getting truly free. Home and office get blurred too easily. Pros and cons, like everything else in life, I guess.

Whatever it is, it’s work and in times like these that’s better than no work.

That’s putting it in perspective.
